Outerly's mission is to beat loneliness by connecting people outdoors. We do this by matching you with like-minded strangers for group walks around your city.

Outerly is for everyone who wants to meet new people! We welcome you into our community no matter your background, beliefs, or identity.

Outings are curated, small group walks around the city. When you register for an Outing, you take a short personality quiz, choose a day and time, and then we assign you to a group of 6-8 like-minded people and provide a walking itinerary. All you have to do is show up!

All Outings end at a communal location so all of the community members who participated in a walk on that given day can meet each other.

When you join your first Outing, you'll fill out a questionnaire so we can learn more about you. We then use a combination of technology and human power to curate groups of like-minded people each week.

Before your Outing, you'll receive a starting location, a map of your route, and an ending location. You'll also receive some basic information about your fellow group members. After that, all you have to do is show up to the specified location at the designated start time, find your group, and start walking.

One single Outing ticket costs $10. If you'd like to participate in multiple walks, we also have various membership options available which give you access to unlimited walks.

Each Outing ticket includes matching you into a hand-picked group of 6-8 people, conversation starters, a map of your mile walking route, and the option to follow up with people you met afterward.

We like to think of Outerly memberships as your weekly walk club! Memberships give you unlimited access to our signature weekend walks, members-only events 1-2x a month, special member discounts to local outdoor events and partners, and first dibs on any new features we release.

In our experience, free walking groups are an incredible way to meet lots of people in one place. However, free groups tend to be a) typically very large and b) not at all curated to individuals. Outerly is the opposite. Our team carefully matches groups of 6-8 people so you're never in a massive crowd, and we curate each of the groups and the routes based on the personality quiz you take when you sign up.

Our goal is to help you meet new people every week, spend time outdoors, and also build your community through regular group outings where you're seeing the same folks repeatedly.

Each walk is between 2.5 to 3.5 miles, and is designed to take 1 to 1.5 hours. We select walking routes based on the preferences you state in your questionnaire.

No, we do not offer refunds for walk tickets. However, you may receive a credit for a future walk if you cancel more than 48 hours in advance (see below).

If you are booked for a walk and cancel more than 48 hours in advance, you will receive a credit for a ticket to a future walk. If you cancel after this time, we are unable to move or change your reservation.

If we choose to cancel a walk due to inclement weather, you will be notified before 8 AM on the day of the walk. When your walk is cancelled due to inclement weather, you will receive a credit to use on a future walk.
